i've often looked at friends' family portraits, and prodded at one elder sibling or another and said "so where's he/she now?" and usually the person would be overseas studying. well i've never really cared about it, it's more of an "oh, how cool, i wonder what he/she's like" kind of thing?
anyway. looking at zai's family portrait, it suddenly struck me how for a change it won't be my close friend's elder sibling who's flying off. it'll actually be that friend. instead of someone insignificant, it's someone who is very significant. in zai's case, more significant than most people i'll ever know. i'm not quite sure how to explain this properly. basically it's just a really weird feeling.
yup but i've decided not to think about her and nic's leaving yet. now is not the time. now is the time to feel happy, and really really blessed, to have such an amazing bunch of babes to call my friends(O:

ever, i ran away because i had to laugh. DARN FUNNY! one of the highlights of camp of course, experiencing firsthand the antics of jiam and zai.
today was officially a good day. mash potato rocks. so does starbucks hot chocolate. so does my ahem cousin. going shopping tmr! woot(O:

anyway. today was a nice day. i proclaim that i don't dislike kids anymore. I LOVE! I LOVE MY BRANDON! HAHAHAHAH. he's super super cute and i want to kidnap him! even though he tried to grab charmaine's butt, he's still very cute! nearly as cute as toby. although i don't suppose it's very fair to compare, coz brandon is a kid while toby is a dog.

the ones that made camp oh-so-special: ZAI AND JOE!(O:
hahaha i love you guys. although you both like to gang up against me. pfft.
zai's first time staying up the whole night resulted in her going mad! we played the connect the word game with poon (tam-poon) and gerald, with the theme "Disgusting", and omg the phrases she produced!! "a tsunami of urine" and "a torpedo of nailshit" hahahahahhahah. who even knows what nailshit is. not i.
then we lazed around on the basketball court, and SHE TRIED TO BREAKDANCE, but ended up rolling around the place. and sang uncle kracker "properly" with this squeaky voice, omg!! super funny lah, the look on her face!! i wish i had my camera. sigh.
other than that, i think worship went pretty well. at least no camper really complained(O: except tt occasion with the zhiwei, but that was with good reason i guess. thank God.
i have nothing more to say about camp, except this: "fun sia!"
aaaaaaaand now i'm off to meet debbiecheong, tingxu, gid, debs and jon. this should be a very interesting event, as debbie refuses to tell me where we're going.
well it's another day-before-youth-camp, about 1.5 years since the last one occurred. the novelty of youth camp has worn off over the years; i'm no longer jumping around the house like i did in p6. (which, on that occasion, caused me to sprain my ankle.) each youth camp had it's special memories.
in p6 xiulin (my gl) stepped on dog poop during candlefight and washed it off in the sink in the toilet. also, my angel forgot my name.
in sec1, the smelliest camp shirts EVER were delivered. clara was my gl and i liked doing qt with her. she taught me "sally the fish". the encounter with Sarah and the moss occured in the toilet. carolling was fun, coz angcai's speech was the BEST THING EVERRRR.
in sec2, alicia was my gl and we stayed up almost the whole night writing encouragement notes and making props. amazing race consisted of walking up and down east coast park until kangwei said we could stop and go to the supermarket. this camp made the most impact on my spiritual life.
in sec3, tingxu and i were games ics. the loudhailer kept dying on us. sarah pulled her stomach muscle climbing up to the bunk. barn sarah and i terrorized the kids during underground church, that was lovely. florence and i pranked everyone on the last morning. gerald and i slacked off and ate swensen's during amazing race.
and tmr, the sec4 one will start! i'm excited because i think it's going to be special. at least i know my worship team is like wow! ZAI'S SO ZAI. hahaha. tts great! i anticipate lots of laughs, lots of fun, and of course, learning more abt God.
